Conservation: Our chapter continues to protect
and conserve our local trout streams. Morgan Run is our focus, being our home
stream. Each year we hold a cleanup/picnic at the Klee Mill Handicap Access
Ramp and we regularly patrol the stream for poachers. |
\
| Outreach: Through on stream notices,
the newspapers and the web our chapter reaches out to the angling public. Each year
we have several meetings and or events at Bear Branch Nature Center including
participation in "Earthworks Event". |
Community Service: Patapsco Valley Trout
Unlimited constructed the first in the state handicapped access ramp on Morgan Run.
The Klee Mill road site is maintained by DNR and TU and is a focus point for chapter
activities and of course fishing for everyone. |
| Trout Stocking: Each year members
of our chapter help coordinate volunteers to get the needed help with fish stocking
of Morgan Run. Volunteers come from all over to help out and make it possible to
float stock the entire length of the special regulation section of the stream. |
Chapter Outings: We have have a number
of planned fishing trips throughout the year for trout and bass.
Check the main page for the latest information on planned projects and outings.
